Place your bare feet on a piece of paper and mark the outline with a pen. Measure the distance between the tip of your largest toe to the edge of your heel in mm with a ruler. Tip: Take the largest foot as a reference to ensure you have enough wiggle room in the end. Check the sizechart for the correct shoe size!
Make your shoes dirt and water-repellent, by using a dirt and moisture-repellent spray. Omoda recommends a Nano-spray. Nano-spray is multi-functional. You can use this spray on smooth leather, nubuck, suede and textile:
Although the nano spray is universal, specific maintenance products and treatment methods can also be applied per material.
Leather is an organic material that must be able to breathe. Avoid bald noses or cracks in the leather only by polishing the leather fifteen minutes a month, this will make your shoes last much longer! Shoe polish feeds the leather so that it does not dry out and stays in shape. Polish smooth leather with the correct color, a blank shoe polish has less effect. Polish flamed leather with the darkest color. For bold leather, with a bit more shine, there is also a beeswax spray that keeps smooth, enriched, waxed and matte leather beautiful. Do not spray and polish too much. Do not use silicone shoe polish or shoe spray.
1. Spray is ok (protection)
Have you bought new shoes? Spray them three times in the first week with the right spray. The spray will protect your shoes against dirty, water and it will feed the material. Nanopro spray from Omoda or Collonil is universal, so you can use it for all types of leather and textile. Repeat this process after the first week once a month.
2. Polish wonder (maintenance)
Avoid bare noses or cracks in the leather. Brush is the solution. Use your shoe brush box regularly and brush your shoes with the right colour. After brushing, wait for ten minutes and rub it out. You now can spray your shoes with Nanopro spray. When you brush your shoes once a month, your shoes will stay in good shape much longer.
3. Make a change (rotating)
Give your shoes some rest. Exchange your shoes regularly, so your shoes have time to dry. This is also good for the leather. Leave your shoes in a neutral place (with a shoe-stretcher) where it is not too hot or too cold.
4. Washing (cleaning)
Do you have dirty shoes or some little damage? Use a soft eraser for smooth leather, a cleaner stick for suede, and mild shampoo for your textile sneakers.
5. Slipping (smooth soles)
Are your soles too smooth for you? You can easily solve this problem with sandpaper. Crude your soles a bit with sandpaper.
For all the service you do to keep your shoes in the best way, we recommend to make use of Omoda and Collonil products. Do you get any problems with your shoes or other products after you have sprayed them with another spray brand as Omoda or Collonil, we unfortunately can’t help you in case you want to declare the damage.
